Watching the Boy

This afternoon and evening my friend and I have been watching Gideon so his parents could go out to dinner with their friends.  He is by me now in his Pikachu pajamas and we are listening to Night Songs.  I was certainly wanting to sleep before he was, but I think he'll be out soon.  It has been a good day.  We played some Bananagrams before dinner.  He did pretty well but got bored early on.  At seven, it was hard for him to keep his letters in good order and the words he made wanted to rearrange themselves again.  Gideon-sitting is my happy for today.
